Hello friends! Today I want to tell you about an interesting view-point in Rio de Janeiro (Mirante Dona Marta), so you can save on excursions and it will be an excellent replacement for the famous statue of Christ.
Mirante Dona Marta is one of the most visited and famous places in beautiful Rio de Janeiro and gives its guests the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful views of the entire city, the statue of Christ, and the Guanabara Bay.
The viewpoint of Dona Marta (Mirante Dona Marta) is located near the favela of Santa Marta and not far from the Santa Teresa area.
The view from Dona Marta overlooks the entire center of Rio De Janeiro and the city’s beaches. The urban city can be seen at a glance.
Rio de Janeiro is a city where everyone lives together – that’s what the locals say, and it really is. Elite areas coexist with slums. If, for example, in the city of São Paulo, poor areas are moved outside the city center, then in Rio de Janeiro, the favelas can be located in the center or in the nicest places of the city.
Right next to the view-point is the Corcovado mountain on which the famous statue of Jesus Christ stands. Thus, you get almost the same view of the city as from the Corcovado mountain, only for free.
Entrance to the site is free and traditionally you can meet many photographers here, striving to capture all the surrounding beauty in panoramic photographs.
You can get to this place by bus, taxi or by foot from the Santa Teresa area.
