The Rio Sul Shopping Center is in the Zona Sul (South Zone) section of Rio de Janeiro.  It was Rio de Janeiro’s first mall when it opened up back in 1980.  It is a popular shopping center for both tourists and locals.  With it’s 4-floors and over 400 stores it is a decent sized mall with shops that sell everything from clothes and housewares to electronics and jewelry.

To get there be sure to check with your hotel because the mall does have FREE shuttles that stop at many of the main hotels in Zona Sul. Or you can easily catch one of the city buses on Nossa Senhora de Copacabana Ave or Atlantica Avenue and be there in around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
